The Brief

PGP Wedding Films creates personal, story-driven wedding films for couples in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. Their Instagram page functions as their primary portfolio, the place where potential clients go to imagine how their own wedding story might be told. When I came on in April 2025, the account wasn’t posting consistently, which meant that portfolio wasn’t working nearly as hard as it could be. The footage existed. What was missing was a steady, strategic presence that showed it off.

My Role

I manage their Instagram content end to end: strategy, editing, writing, posting, and analytics. The work is heavily editing-focused. PGP films beautiful footage at luxury weddings, and my job is to go through that footage and pull the best moments to tell a specific story in reel format, whether that’s a ceremony highlight, a details reel, a reception recap, or an origin story that captures how the couple met. Every reel is built to reflect PGP’s distinct voice and filmmaking style rather than feeling like a generic wedding video clip.

The Process

Establishing a consistent posting rhythm.

The account had no regular posting schedule when I started. I brought it to 2 reels per week during wedding season and 3 reels per week during booking season, when potential clients are actively researching and making decisions. Fifteen months later the account has posted every single week without a gap.

Editing for story, not just highlights.

The difference between a reel that gets watched and one that gets scrolled past is usually whether it has a point of view. I approach each reel with a specific emotional arc in mind, choosing footage, pacing, and music to serve that arc rather than just assembling the best-looking clips. The goal is always for a viewer to feel something, ideally something that makes them picture their own wedding. I also create a custom cover photo for every post using ON1 PhotoRAW so that the grid as a whole looks curated and elevated, not like a random collection of video thumbnails. Something I’m particularly proud of on this account is how closely the reels match PGP’s own filmmaking style. The goal was always for the content to feel like it came from him, not from a social media manager.

Developing a consistent brand voice.

One of the things I’ve worked hardest on with this client is making sure the captions and overall tone feel genuinely like PGP rather than generic wedding industry copy. I’ve developed a detailed prompting approach that helps translate their voice into written content consistently, without it sounding formulaic or hollow.

Letting the analytics guide the strategy.

I review performance data regularly and use it to inform decisions about content type, posting timing, and which kinds of reels generate the most reach and saves. The strategy has evolved over the 15 months based on what the data shows is actually working.

The Outcome

In 15 months of posting every single week, the numbers have moved significantly. Monthly reach went from around 2,800 to over 13,500, which is 383.9% growth. Monthly views went from around 5,500 to nearly 35,000, a 535.1% increase. Follower count grew from 2,051 to 2,400. And the account went from zero link clicks to 48, which means for the first time there’s an actual traffic pipeline from Instagram to the booking page.

None of it was paid. Every bit of that growth came from showing up consistently with content that was worth watching.
